North East England Tourism Awards

OUR ROLE

Utilised the 1879 Events supplier network to provide the illustrious setting of
the Stadium of Light as a host venue as well as the staging equipment and other
facilities required to host an award ceremony of this stature.
Catered for more than 400 of the North East’s leading tourism professionals.
A specially created menu featured regional providers including North Shields
quayside crab & salmon and Northumberland cheeses, to be in keeping with the
North East tourism celebrations.

STARTERS

Salad of North Shields quayside crab and salmon with pickled cucumber and rye
bread and home made fish cake, shellfish cream
Mixed beetroot salad with crusted goats cheese and shallot dressing (v)

MAINS

Herb & butter roasted breast of barn raised chicken, mini chicken, leek and
tarragon pie, braised potato, glazed stockpot vegetables, sherry jus
Wild mushroom, walnut and jerusalem artichoke parcel, (v) x 14
braised potato, glazed winter root vegetables, Madeira sauce

DESSERTS

Salted caramel chocolate torte, honeycomb ice cream
Cheese: Admiral Collingwood Cheese, Northumberland Nettle, Dunsyre Blue
with grapes, celery and local chutney
